Photos from the Finger Lakes Charters

On May 17-20, 2009, SARM ran a series of passenger charters over the Finger Lakes and Wellsboro & Corning railroads. SARM would like to thank the folks at the Finger Lakes Railway, the Wellsboro & Corning Railroad, and the Tioga Central Railroad for a series of wonderful trips. (Page 1 of 2.)

The trip on the 17th covered the Finger Lakes from Geneva to Solvay and back. Here, the train is being switched, providing this unique view.

The trip stopped at the depot and museum at Martisco to do a few runbys.

After turning at Solvay, we stopped at the station at Cayuga on Cayuga Lake for a few more photos.

Here is another photo taken at Cayuga.

Day 2, May 18th, featured a trip from Geneva west to Canadaigua and Victor, New York. Here the train is passing the station at Clifton Springs.

At Canadaigua, passengers were given the chance to walk around while the locomotive ran around the train.

Lunch was served at the Depot 25 Restaurant in the former NYC station at Shortsville, New York.

Finger Lakes 1703 stopped at Victor.

On the way back from Victor, we stopped to pick up a cut of freight cars, making it a true mixed train.
