On November 19, 2005, the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum ran a rare mileage roundtrip ride between Americus, Georgia and Ochille, Georgia on the “City of Miami” route, now owned by the Georgia Southwestern Railroad.

November 19th started at Bump Head Road just north of Americus, Georgia.

After a trip to near Columbus, Georgia, the train performed a photo runby at a large beaver pond near Halloca, Georgia..

Another photo from the runby.

Another runby was made in downtown Ellaville, Georgia, using a retired cotton gin as a backdrop.
