Horn Honk

Since 2003, the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum has sponsored an annual national gathering of locomotive air horn collectors. We operate trains with various participant's air horns so they can record and experience the sounds while used on real locomotives.

The event is usually held on a weekend in late September. There is a nominal cost: (usually less than $50) for those wanting to have their horns put on an engine. Watching - and listening - is free!

For further information, contact Steve Forrest via email at nsdispatcher.shf@verizon.net or call the Museum at 865-241-2140.
