Photos from the December 1998 excursions on the Kiamichi Railroad, sponsored by SARM

On December 5-6, 1998, the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum ran a series of trips covering almost the entire Kiamichi Railroad using the equipment of the Hugo Heritage Railroad. Saturday, the train ran from Ashdown, Arkansas, to Antlers, Oklahoma, and back to Hugo, Oklahoma. On Sunday there were trips from Hugo to Pirtle, Oklahoma, and Paris, Texas.

	SARM used equipment belonging to the Hugo Heritage Railroad. By moving the equipment to Ashdown, the railroad was able to run a series of local Christmas trips as well.
Along the way on Saturday, a photo runby was performed in front of the Weyerhaeuser pulp mill at Valliant, Oklahoma.
	Trips on Sunday were based out of the former Frisco station and Harvey House at Hugo, Oklahoma.
The first Sunday trip ran west to Pirtle, Oklahoma, where the power ran around the train.
	On the way back to Hugo, a passing storm allowed a sunny runby near Bennington, Oklahoma.
The afternoon trip ran to Paris, Texas, where there were blue skies for a photo session next to the local passenger station, which was open for tours.
