"Welcome to Summer" Car Show

(Proceeds will benefit the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum and the United Way of Anderson County)

Saturday, May 18, 2002

The annual East Tennessee MOPAR Club Top 30 Open Car show will be held in conjunction with the annual Oak Ridge May Fest on May 18, 2002 at Bissell Park in downtown Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Awards will be presented for the Best Antique (pre-1961), Best Stock and Modified Ford, GM, MOPAR, Truck, and Low Rider, plus Best of Show Stock and Modified and Participant's Choice Award.

Show hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm. Registration is 8 am to noon. Awards are at 4 pm, followed by a "police escorted" parade of Oak Ridge.

The $25 entry fee includes the show, a train souvenir, plus the first 150 entries receive a dash plaque and "Welcome to Oak Ridge" bags courtesy of the Oak Ridge Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Directions: From I-75 North take the Clinton/Norris exit through Clinton to Oak Ridge and the Civic Center; from I-40 take Pellissippi Parkway (I-140) to Oak Ridge, turn right on the Oak Ridge Turnpike to the Civic Center.
