
For your special Valentine's Day, consider more than dinner - consider The Dinner Train at Oak Ridge's special Valentine's Day Dinner Trains.
Imagine taking a leisurely two-hour train ride with someone special, while being served dinner by formally attired attendants. Dine in the romantic surroundings of an authentic railroad dining car with fresh flowers, china, and white tablecloths.
This is a unique opportunity to spend a romantic evening onboard a train from the 1940's, restored by volunteers from the Southern Appalachia Railway Museum. Trains depart from the East Tennessee Technology Park near Oak Ridge, Tennessee, at:
Friday, Feb. 6th at 6pm
Saturday, Feb. 7th at 5pm
Thursday, Feb. 12th at 6pm
Friday, Feb. 13th at 6pm
Saturday, Feb. 14th at 5pm
Sunday, Feb. 15th at 5pm
Menu selections include beef tenderloin with mushrooms and garlic butter, chicken breast with white wine sauce, and a vegetable medley. Each dinner includes a tossed salad, specially prepared vegetables, fresh bread, dessert, and tea or coffee.
Ticket prices are $70 per person and include a rose, dinner, train ride, and all taxes. Seating is very limited; no more than 20 couples will be able to experience this unique Valentine's Day event each evening. Reservations and payment are required at least one week in advance.
